Student Rights
As a student of Stoic Jiu Jitsu, I am entitled to…
- Attend any and all relevant classes / open mats listed upon the Stoic Jiu Jitsu schedule
- Attend any and all classes / open mats at any other training facility (Martial Arts or otherwise)
III. Request private lessons from any instructor, understanding that the fees for private lessons are not included in my membership fees
IV. Request special accommodations of any kind, understanding that Stoic Jiu Jitsu will do their best to honour my request
V. Share my challenges in an honest way, and seek guidance and support from Stoic Jiu Jitsu community members
VI. Leave the mats at any time during lesson or rolling, on the condition that I first inform either the instructor or another student of my absence

Student Guidelines
As a student of Stoic Jiu Jitsu, I agree to…
- NOT attend any classes / open mats while injured
- NOT attend any classes / open mats if I have a communicable skin condition, or am otherwise communicably ill
- Respect the boundaries of all Stoic Jiu Jitsu community members, and clearly communicate my own boundaries
- Respect and abide by all closed class restrictions as stated on Stoic Jiu Jitsu schedule (age limit, special group, etc)
- Respect and abide by all special accommodation decisions made by Stoic Jiu Jitsu, knowing that Stoic Jiu Jitsu prioritizes both individual and community well-being
- Continually seek out challenges, knowing that this requires discomfort, and that my challenges are unique to me
- Continually seek and share knowledge, knowing that this requires effort and discipline
- Understand and seek to train under the principles of the open hand, to the best of my ability
- Understand and represent the values of Stoic Jiu Jitsu with pride and honour in all areas of my life, to the best of my ability
